Reading through the Gospels and Acts this year made it really clear to me that in the lives of Jesus followers supernatural activity is the norm not the exception. Jesus sent the twelve and the 70 out in His name to preach the gospel, heal the sick and cast out demons. In Acts these activities continue with addition of the power of the Holy Spirit. There were regular times of prayer and the laying on of hands. On a daily basis believers were lead by the Holy Spirit. Miracles weren’t limited to Jesus or the apostles. This new movement of Christ followers gained a reputation for possessing supernatural power.
It’s in my heart to see the power of God visit our youth in the same way. That’s why this year we are urging to students to spend time daily in the presence of God through reading the Word, prayer & worship. Each week in our Wednesday night services we’re giving them the opportunity to lay hands on each other in prayer and encourage each other with what God has been speaking/doing in their lives. Already this school year, I’ve witnessed students interceding with one another in prayer and in their daily lives making major changes to live the supernatural life of a Jesus follower. Please join with me in asking for a supernatural move of the Holy Spirit in the daily lives of our students.
