If it hasn’t happened already, at some point you’ll probably experience your teenager exclaiming to you with frustration and pain in their eyes, “Mom, Dad, don’t you trust me?” You were probably following your God-given parental instinct and chose to limit a freedom or privilege that your student wanted to exercise and they pulled out the classic, “Don’t you trust me” line. They use that line because it works, but in their defense, they also use it because it expresses how they are actually feeling.

25 Feb 2010I have been spending a lot of time trying to simplify my life and cutting away the clutter, and looking for the value in all my actions. I have found some pretty meaningless stuff. I heard it once said if you break down our bodies to the basic ingredients it would cost about $12.00 dollars in material to make a human body. Interesting? Crazy? I have found some scriptures about my value and how God values me. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He sent his only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”
Loving students,
Leading them to Jesus and
Launching them into
His purpose for their lives
